moving on up
... to the Capital region! over the Fourth holiday long weekend - two days of vacation provided by work - I moved completely out of my Santa Clara apartment and into a new (to me) house in Rancho Cordova. Four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a 2-car garage, gas stove in the big kitchen, and lots of wall space to hang all my art! and much less per month than the ridiculous sili-valley rent-stortion being extracted from my meager earnings! now maybe I can save enough to eventually retire before I'm seventy :-D
the first picture I put on the wall was Audrey!
it will take some time but I can find ways to personalize little areas to make it feel homey right away.
Joyce's dad helped my move my sideboard from where it has been taken care of for the last nine years. Aaron and Cindy had recently had their precious little bundle of joy, who we got to meet!
no sooner had I moved in than I had to get busy at work doing creative things! a coworker asked me to do a video and audio voice-over for important legal statements to be watched by every employee leaving the company. I had a quick dry run with the AV Team, and then drove down to the bay area to do the actual taping in the headquarters studio! It was very exciting to stand where several CEOs and execs have stood. my colleague gave me a bunch of home-picked flowers as a thank you for making the trip and doing an excellent job at the taping! who knows, this could lead to other VO opportunities!
