president for a day

here are a few times when I visited a location where I could "be" the president!

November 2011 at the Reagan Library - link - at the inaugural podium, and aboard a retired Air Force One!

October 2018 at the Nixon Library - link - end of the month; in a reproduction of the Oval Office and with a retired Marine One!

October 2024 at the Presidential Wax Museum - link - giving a televised address!

aboard a presidential ship and yacht - the floating white houses

September 2007 on the USS Missouri with Joyce in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
while Truman wasn't aboard when the Japanese Surrender document was signed, he chose this ship for that mission as it was the namesake of his home state, and his daughter Margaret was its sponsor at its launch in 1944.  He later sailed across the equator on board, and endured a "King Neptune's Court!" link

Many trips aboard the USS Potomac, FDR's specially equipped Coast Guard yacht, permanently moored in Jack London Square, Oakland, CA

August 2012, with Mama - when they treated her like a First Lady!

September 2018, my first trip with "Elvis" doing a live show as we sailed around San Francisco Bay.

September 2019, my second Elvis concert, this time with Priscilla.  and this time I got a scarf!

October 2023, Craig joined me for this trip; Priscilla smooched him and gave him a scarf! (we're starting a collection!)
