can't believe it's already Labor Day!
rehearsals start for concert band, ending with the holiday performance in December. I also started rehearsals for Nutcracker, and will be reprising my role as grandmother, and sharing the role of Mother Cupcake with a new member of the troupe!
had a busy long weekend near the end of the month. I had won a bid on Opera San Jose tickets at a fundraiser, so on a Thursday Janet and I caught a performance of Die Fledermaus. we loved it! the lobby organist even took requests and played a couple songs for us.
on Saturday I had a long day driving up to Oakland to sail on the Potomac and visit with Elvis again... this is getting to be a delightful habit! afterwards I drove into the City and toured the Walt Disney Family Museum. I capped off the night by seeing the musical Anastasia while it was here on tour - - phenomenal!!! tired but thrilled I had a rehearsal the next day just to finish me off.
